Family's humble nativity set holds love, memories for generations

When looking at our nativity set, one probably wouldn't be very impressed. It is nothing fancy and starting to show its age. To us, its value is in the story.

The nativity set is from my father's family and was used when he was growing up. He came from a small town in Iowa, a farming family. My grandparents were married in 1930, and my dad was born in 1932. The family was soon expanded with the births of six more children. Times were hard and the family barely made ends meet.
