What a honor it was to participate in the Wreaths Across America ceremony held Dec. 15 at the King Veterans Cemetery in Waupaca.

Despite a very cold rain, more than 100 veterans, families and friends turned out to lay wreaths on veterans' graves, some dating to the Civil War. After the wreaths' placement, a short ceremony, led by master of ceremonies Chris Klein, local coordinator for the wreath project at King, was held.
