New town hall planned for 2013 amid growth spurt

The town of Lawrence is moving forward with plans to build a new town hall building.

In a Dec. 10 vote, the town approved a $1.2 million proposal that will fund improvements to several projects in Lawrence.

Proposed funds include $1 million for the new town hall, $140,000 to renovate the current fire station and $60,000 to repair Shady Court, the street adjacent to the two buildings, according to Town Administrator Bob Bartelt. ...
