De Pere High School graduate Katie Vanden Avond received player of the year accolades in women's soccer for the second straight season to lead the St. Norbert College athletes who were honored in some of the fall sports this year.

Vanden Avond, a sophomore forward, was named the repeat winner of Offensive Player of the Year in the Midwest Conference.

She led the conference with 26 goals, 54 points and eight game-winning goals. She ranked second in the country for goals and eighth for points during the regular season. ...
