Here are the highlights from coach Mike McCarthy's short press conference after practice today:
**McCarthy said receiver Randall Cobb will test his injured ankle and knee Friday morning to determine whether he can practice, though McCarthy might go into the weekend to determine whether Cobb will play this week.
**Though defensive back Charles Woodson will miss his ninth straight game this week, McCarthy all but said that Woodson will be back in the lineup for the playoffs.
"A lot of our decisions, you have risk assessment," McCarthy said. "I think that the time I have spent around Charles Woodson, his risk assessment will go out the window when it comes time to play in a playoff game. Weíre trying to be smart with this. Obviously heís part of the decision but itís the doctorís call right now."
McCarthy also said that waiting until a playoff game for Woodson to make his return isn't as big a problem as normal because he's been practicing for four weeks now.
" I am not as concerned about his game-day conditioning as you would if he was coming right off the injury and not having a full practice.," McCarthy said. "I know this will be his fourth week going through three day practices. He spends a lot of extra time here and how we utilize him will be to our benefit. It may be the same, it may be different than how he has been used before."
**McCarthy said kicker Mason Crosby still is feeling "under the weather" after missing practice Wednesday because of an illness and returning today.
"IHe came in just to get his work done," McCarthy said. "When we have a player who has an illness, we just try to keep him away from the other guys. Hopefully he will be ready to go; I donít have any reason not to believe that heís going to play in the game."
