For the NYE crowd looking to ring in 2013 with some live music, both locations of The Bar are hosting bands: Crankin' Yankees at Holmgren Way in Ashwaubenon and Shaker and the Egg at Lime Kiln Road in Green Bay.

Jess Miller, a managing partner of The Bar and Hagemeister Park, said The Bar locations tried foregoing bands on NYE three or four years ago and noticed a definite decline in patrons. The tradition has been back ever since, with bands breaking at midnight for the collective countdown and singing of "Auld Lang Syne'' - and all that kissing.

Downtown Green Bay at Hagemeister Park, the outdoor skating rink along the Fox River on CityDeck will stay open until 12:30 a.m. for New Year's Eve. Later in the night, the restaurant will let the bar take over with a DJ.

Both locations of The Bar and Hagemeister have their own customer shuttles that will pick up patrons and bring them home, Miller said.

Other New Year's Eve party options include Jimmy Seas in Allouez, where female rock band The Couagars will play. Anduzzi's Sports Club in Ashwaubenon will celebrate with a DJ and free party favors.
