East-side residents warned to boil water after line break

The Green Bay Water Utility advises Green Bay residents who live east of Bader and Danz Streets to boil their water until Tuesday.

One of the two 36-inch pipes which bring water from Lake Michigan failed at about 7:30 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of East Mason and Main streets, creating a geyser of water that flooded the low-lying intersection of the two streets. The intersection was re-opened late in the day Saturday, but the east bound lane of East Mason Street from the intersection to East Town Mall remained closed.
