10 YEARS AGO: Tricia Mensching of Marshfield has been awarded a $300 scholarship from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans for the 2002-03 school year. She attends Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minn.

The Marshfield Public Library will close Tuesday in observance of the New Year's holiday. It will reopen on Thursday at regular hours.

25 YEARS AGO: Victoria Susa of Greenwood and Mary Baltus of Marshfield are serving as president and vice president, respectively, of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point's History Club. Susa is a 1984 graduate of Greenwood High School, and Baltus is a 1983 graduate of Columbus High School.

50 YEARS AGO: Looking back on 1962, Clark County 4-H leaders and members can look with pride, Joseph T. Pietrek said recently. Clark County had the honor of having two national winners in one year.

75 YEARS AGO: In view of the fact that there is a limited skating area and that the clinic rink may be used by all, the high school hockey team and city team have tried to set a definite schedule for practices. However it would be greatly appreciated if the rink were to remain entirely for the use of the hockey teams.
