Minnesota 10 10 7 10 — 37
Vikings 3, Packers 0
Blair Walsh, 54-yard field goal, 10:47.
Keys: The Packers stopped Adrian Peterson on his first carry for no yards, but he bounced off his first would-be tackler on his second attempt for a 12-yard run to the outside to start his 199-yard day. Christian Ponder completed a 8-yard pass to Jerome Simpson with Tramon Williams in coverage on third-and-7 to keep the drive moving before settling for the field goal after a Ponder 8-yard scramble on third-and-10.
Drive: 10 plays, 41 yards, 4:13.
Vikings 10, Packers 0
Peterson, 7-yard run (Walsh kick), 5:44.
Keys: Mike McCarthy won a challenge on a first-down sack of Ponder by Clay Matthews that went for a loss of 7 after initially being ruled an incomplete pass, but missed tackles plagued the Packers throughout. On a third-and-12, Casey Hayward whiffed on a tackle on a Toby Gerhart screen pass that went for 21 yards. From the Packers’ 40, Minnesota ran Peterson four straight times, including a 22-yard gain to get inside the Green Bay 10.
Drive: 7 plays, 60 yards, 3:30.
Vikings 13, Packers 0
Walsh, 37-yard field goal, 14:51.
Keys: The Packers couldn’t stop Peterson on a fourth-and-1 from the Packers’ 43 when he evaded a surging A.J. Hawk to peel out for a 6-yard gain. Ponder hit a clutch 10-yard completion to Kyle Rudolph on third-and-7 to keep drive moving and added another 8-yard scramble before settling for Walsh’s field goal.
Drive: 11 plays, 34 yards, 4:42.
Vikings 13, Packers 7
Greg Jennings, 3-yard pass from Aaron Rodgers (Crosby kick), 4:01.
Keys: A 32-yard punt return from Jeremy Ross gave the Packers the ball at the Minnesota 42. DuJuan Harris darted out for a 12-yard carry to start the series, the longest play of the drive. The Packers made short third-down completions to James Jones and Jennings to key the drive. Jennings dropped a pass on first-and-goal before coming back two plays later with the catch in the back of the end zone.
Drive: 12 plays, 42 yards, 5:06.
Vikings 20, Packers 7
Jarius Wright, 8-yard pass from Ponder (Walsh kick), 1:07.
Keys: The Packers couldn’t catch a break with a Burnett blitz forcing Ponder into his only regrettable decision of the first half, which led to the ball being batted into the arms of Wright for a 17-yard gain. It looked like it might have been incomplete, but the Packers didn’t have any timeouts left to challenge the catch. After Peterson busted through for a gain of 19 yards from the Packers’ 26, Ponder hit Wright on a short dump-off for the score.
Drive: 7 plays, 60 yards, 2:54.
Vikings 20, Packers 10
Crosby, 51-yard field goal, 0:00.
Keys: Rodgers hit three quick passes to Jennings, Jermichael Finley and Jordy Nelson before being sacked by Everson Griffen for a loss of 9 yards. With no timeouts, Rodgers completed a 14-yard pass to Finley, who stepped out of bounds to set up Crosby’s second make of the season from beyond 50 yards.
Drive: 7 plays, 47 yards, 1:07.
Vikings 20, Packers 17
Jennings, 5-yard pass from Rodgers (Crosby kick), 11:56.
Keys: The Packers came out strong with two lengthy completions to Jones (30 yards) and Greg Jennings (45 yards) out of the slot. Two plays later, the Vikings left Jennings wide open in the corner of the end zone.
Drive: 6 plays, 80 yards, 3:04.
Vikings 27, Packers 17
Peterson, 2-yard pass from Ponder (Walsh kick), 4:00.
Keys: After a Rodgers fumble gave the Vikings the ball at the 50, Ponder hit Simpson for 21. Peterson fumbled on the series, but it was overturned and ruled a 2-yard loss because he was down by contact. The Packers held on third-and-goal from the 5, but Jerron McMillian was flagged for holding to give the Vikings a new set of downs.
Drive: 9 plays, 50 yards, 4:17.
Vikings 27, Packers 24
Jones, 8-yard pass from Rodgers (Crosby kick), 2:04.
Keys: On third-and-4, Rodgers hit Nelson in stride for 73 yards to set up Jones’ touchdown catch on the following play. Officials said Jones fumbled before he crossed into the end zone and awarded the Vikings the ball, which caused Mike McCarthy to throw the challenge flag. That resulted in an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty because it was an automatic booth review, and it could have wiped out the challenge as well. However, the replay officials were already reviewing the play, so it was allowed and the fumble was overturned.
Drive: 4 plays, 87 yards, 1:56.
Vikings 27, Packers 27
Crosby, 40-yard field goal, 12:21.
Keys: The Packers started at the 50 after a face mask personal foul on the punt. Harris came through with two explosive runs, including a 6-yarder to set up Crosby’s kick.
Drive: 8 plays, 28 yards, 2:39.
Vikings 34, Packers 27
Michael Jenkins, 3-yard pass from Ponder (Walsh kick), 7:54.
Keys: Wright beat Sam Shields for a 65-yard pass that Ponder placed perfectly over the top of the Packers’ secondary. The Packers stopped the Vikings on third-and-goal from the 12, but an illegal hands to the face flag on Tramon Williams gave Minnesota a fresh set of downs.
Drive: 7 plays, 79 yards, 4:27.
Vikings 34, Packers 34
Nelson, 2-yard pass from Rodgers (Crosby kick), 2:54.
Keys: Jarrett Boykin converted a fourth-and-1 catch despite being interfered with from the Packers’ 47 to keep the drive alive. After a 15-yard completion to Jennings on third-and-4, Harris took a screen for 11 before a defensive pass interference call committed on Nelson put the Packers at the Minnesota 2.
Drive: 11 plays, 78 yards, 5:00.
Vikings 37, Packers 34
Walsh, 29-yard field goal, 0:00.
Keys: After a 25-yard completion to Jenkins on third-and-11, the next four plays went through Peterson, including a 26-yard run that set up the game-winner.
Drive: 8 plays, 61 yards, 2:54.
