Brown County Home Builders Association elected its 2013 board of directors: Mark LeMense, LeMense Quality Homes, president; Jill Hendricks, Vision Realty & Development, vice president; Steve McMonagle, McMonagle Lumber, associate vice president; Paul Vande Hei, Paul Vande Hei Custom Homes, secretary; and Steve Gryboski, Gryboski Builders, treasurer. Steve Atkins and Steve Huben are past presidents. Builder directors are Paul DeLeers, Matt Gerhard, Jim Kassner and Mike Selner. ? Mark Hoefs, business banker, has joined Denmark State Bank's Bellevue office. Green Bay resident Lisa Waters has joined Denmark State Bank as a regional branch manager, based in the Whitelaw office.

? Karen Besiada-Hansen has joined Johnson Insurance Services. She is employee benefits producer for the agency's northeast region. Besiada-Hansen, Green Bay, has more than 25 years experience in the health care industry, including experience as an occupational therapist. She earned her master's degree in organizational management from UW-Green Bay, a bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from Mount Mary, and professional certifications.

? Chris Lagerquist, purchasing manager, has joined Bayland Buildings, Green Bay.

? R. William "Bill" Gevers, Gever's Barber Shop, De Pere.

Promotions

? Barry Hankel has been promoted to director of tennis at Green Bay Tennis Center. He joined the staff in August 2010.

? Nancy Gering-Gralewski, Oconto, has been promoted from resident care manager to executive director at Age Well Centre for Life Enrichment, Green Bay. Gering-Gralewski holds a nursing degree from University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and a master's degree in management from Concordia University Wisconsin.

? Ryan Bjorn, Woodward Radio Group, has been promoted to program director for its Appleton/Oshkosh/Green Bay rock stations WAPL and WZOR. Bjorn fills the position vacated by Joe Calgaro.

? Junior Achievement of Wisconsin received a $25,000 grant from the Walmart Foundation to implement 2012-13 High School Work Readiness Outreach programs.

Certification

? Registered nurse Janelle Klubertanz has earned the certified plastic surgical nurse designation. She works at BayCare Clinic Plastic Surgery, Green Bay.

? Registered nurse Patti Martens achieved re-certification as a certified hospice and palliative nurse; she is based out of Unity in De Pere. Certified nursing assistant, Patti Lawton, Kewaunee, was re-certified as a certified hospice and palliative nursing assistant. Lawton provides patient care throughout Kewaunee and Door counties. Unity is a not-for-profit provider of palliative, hospice care and grief support in 12 counties in Northeastern Wisconsin.

? Mike Milligan,
Legato Healthcare Marketing, Green Bay, was designated a fellow at the Wisconsin Healthcare Public Relations and Marketing Society's annual leadership recognition.

Awards

? Brown County received the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada.

? Tweet/Garot Mechanical, Green Bay, received the Wisconsin Corporate Safety Grand Award, in part for reaching the safety milestone of 7 million safe hours without a lost-time incident (June 2002-October 2012) from the Associated General Contractors of Wisconsin. The company's safety milestone was also noted by Mechanical Contractors Association of America and Sheet Metal and Air Conditioning Contractors National Association.

? Kim Wedige, owner and general manager of the Green Bay Tennis Center, De Pere, received the Wisconsin Tennis Association's Rollie Mueller President's Award. Wedige was recognized for her involvement in the United States Tennis Association Jr. Team Tennis Program.

? In recognition for the company's ongoing investments in revolving loan funds of the Hispanic Chamber of Wisconsin and the African American Chamber of Commerce, Associated Bank, headquartered in Ashwaubenon, received the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp.'s Minority Business Development Award.

? Peggy Olsen, a licensed hearing aid specialist at Wisconsin Hearing Service in Green Bay, received her 20-year all-star award from the International Hearing Society.
