Randall Cobb was close, but not close enough for the Green Bay Packers to warrant rushing their dynamic wide receiver back for Sunday's 37-34 loss to Minnesota.

Cobb was a game-time decision with the ankle and knee injuries he suffered the week before in a blowout of Tennessee, and the Packers opted to sit him in an effort to have him healthy for the playoffs.

More will be known on Cobb's status when the Packers practice Tuesday, but all indications point to him returning this week, especially after he seemed to be cutting fine on his ankle during his limited practice on Friday. ...
