Winter is upon us! During these cold snowy days, some people make dangerous decisions in an attempt to stay warm. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas that can be emitted from poorly functioning or unvented furnaces, generators, car exhaust systems, wood-burning stoves, or other gas-powered home appliances. Fumes from portable heaters and charcoal grills also can build up in tents or cabins.
