Mayor Justin Nickels and Manitowoc County Board of Supervisors Chairman Paul "Biff" Hansen both said building a stronger local economy is critical when they and other local elected officials were asked to outline key 2013 priorities in this New Year.

But when it came to resolutions or changes in their personal lives, Hansen doesn't have Nickels' challenge.

"My mom told me I should start looking for a wife," said Nickels, 25, whose parents have one grandchild but are hoping for more. "She wants to see me married." ...
