Wausau fire officials are looking ahead to their next fire prevention campaign as they prepare to dismantle the wreath that symbolized holiday safety.

The Wausau Fire Department ended on Monday its annual Keep the Wreath Green campaign that aimed to promote winter fire safety and awareness. During the campaign, which began on Thanksgiving, fire officials changed a green bulb to red on a large wreath displayed on the department's Central Fire Station on Thomas Street for every structure fire within city limits.
