Mondays, Jan. 7- Feb. 25

Paws for Tales - Read to a Dog: 3:30-4:30 p.m. Drop in and spend a few minutes meeting and reading to one of our four-legged friends. Reading is fun and stress-free when you read to a dog. Great for dog-lovers and kids looking for reading practice with a patient audience.

Tuesdays, Jan. 8- Feb. 12

Crafty Kids: Drop in between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. for a self-guided craft project. Adult supervision needed for young children.

Jan. 8

Create a "Thank You Card" Workshop: 5:30-7:30 p.m. It's great to receive gifts, but don't forget to give a "thank you." Drop in to make original cards, with supplies provided. Adult supervision needed for young children.

Tuesdays Jan. 8- Feb. 12

Make a Valentine for a Soldier: 5:30-7:30 p.m. Send some Valentine love and appreciation to our soldiers serving overseas in the armed forces. Supplies provided.

Jan. 10

Storytime with The Dads: 10:30 a.m. Preschool storytimes, open to all, led by Northeast Wisconsin At-Home Dads.

Jan. 11

Step-It-Up Storytimes: 10 a.m. Young children and their adults can jump right into movement activities, action songs and participation stories perfect for short attention spans, kinetic learners and those of us in need of exercise.

Jan. 12

"Dream Big" Campout Play Days, with Corduroy Bear: 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Participate in "pretend" indoor camping activities that help develop early literacy skills. Corduroy, the bear from Don Freeman's picture books, will make frequent appearances. Bring your camera. (Ages 2-8)

Jan. 15

"Dream Big" Teddy Bear Camp-Over with Corduroy Bear: 5:30-7:30 p.m. You and your teddy bear (or other stuffed toy) are invited for indoor play and crafts that help develop early literacy skills. Then choose a "library bear" to leave overnight at the library for a bears-only "camp-over." Photos of what these bears do in the library all night will be shown at Thursday's storytimes and on the library website. (Ages 2-8)

Jan. 17

"Boisterous Bears" Storytime and Photo Show: 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Don't hibernate - bring your teddy bear to enjoy stories, songs and rhymes about bears. See slides and hear what really happened at Tuesday night's bears-only "camp-over."

Jan. 31

"Let's Sing a Lullaby with the Brave Cowboy" and other Comical Cowgirl Fun: 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Puppets, skits, songs and more, with a special appearance by Cowgirl Jenn.

Feb. 7

Storytime with The Dads: 10:30 a.m. Preschool storytimes, open to all, led by Northeast Wisconsin At-Home Dads.

Jan. 15

21st annual Pajama-Rama: 6:30 p.m. Wear your PJ's and bring your favorite stuffed bedtime buddy for bedtime stories, treats and parachute fun.

Corduroy Bear is Coming to Visit: 10 a.m. Join us!

What a Long Winter for our Feathered Friends: 6:30 p.m. Join us at the library to make special treats for our bird friends to help them through the winter.

Brush, Brush, Floss, Floss: 10 a.m. We're talking teeth at the Denmark Branch Library. Learn how to take care of your pearly whites with Dr. Sheila Kittell for National Dental Month.

Jan. 7

Jimmy Jammers Pajama Party: 6 p.m. Dress in your coziest sleepwear and join us for an evening of fun! Local author Kevin Brennan will read his children's picture book, "Jimmy Jammers." A light bedtime snack will be served. All ages welcome.

Jan. 8

Pajama-Rama Storytimes: 9:30 and 10:30 a.m. Wear your jammies and join us for sleepy-time tales and a "best bedhead" contest! Snuggle buddies welcome.

The Five Love Languages of Children: 10:30 a.m. How do you show your kids you care about them? Learn about ways you can show your affection at this special program. Kay Benjamin, public health nurse for the Brown County Health Department, presents. Replaces regular storytime.

Jan. 17

Winter Dance Party: 10:30 a.m. Is the Hokey Pokey really what it's all about? Find out during our dance party when you can spin, sway, shake and shimmy. We'll even have a disco ball. (Ages 2+)

Jan. 21

Pizza Play Day: 10:30 a.m. Special guests Ms. Rachel and Happy the Dog from Happy Joe's Pizza Parlor will join us for stories, a craft and activities that'll put "pep" in your pepperoni. (Ages 2+)

Feb. 4

Family Fun Night: Puppy Love: 6 p.m. Meet Karen Gordon and her German Shepard, Hershey! Learn about grooming, feeding and other aspects of responsible pet ownership. Option: Bring a donation of pet food and/or a pet toy for the Bay Area Humane Society.

Feb. 5

Fashion Fun Storytime: 10:30 a.m. Wear your Halloween costume, borrow a friend's fancy clothes or dig into our dress-up box. Then, strike a pose and get fashion tips from our own Miss Fancypants.
