The Packers said Wednesday that DE Jerel Worthy is done for the season after a knee injury.

Packers coach Mike McCarthy spoke to the media following practice on Wednesday. Here are some highlights from his news conference:

-Jerel Worthy has been lost for the season with a knee injury. Boykin did not practice.

-Jordy Nelson was limited. MM thought he ran well in workout. He looked good on routes on air. I know Pat McKenzie wants to evaluate him again tomorrow. He has some concerns.

-Jermichael Finley, Davon House and James Starks were limited

-Iíve never been part of a football team where you donít want as many good football players as you possibly can. This time of year, itís about winning. Opportunities are earned.

-Adrian Peterson is a very good back. Heís had an incredible season.

-Charles Woodson, you talk about a dynamic player for us.

-Home-field advantage, I know statistically may not be what it used to be. I love everything about it.

-Special teams have been our most consistent unit. Really our only bad game was against Chicago. We need to do a better job this week. I thought our blocking has been better.

-Iím very pleased with the way Mason has responded to the tough road heís gone down. Today, we had a chance to practice in weather thatís going to be similar to Saturday night.

-Iím very happy with how our offensive line has played the last two weeks. Really, how our offense has played over the past month.

-I thought defense has played extremely well as of late. I know Minnesota was obviously the exception with 37 points.

-I thought Jeremy Ross played extremely well in the return game. Itís definitely an option to split him and Cobb as returners.

-I think of Ray Lewis. I havenít really had opportunity to go against him. I donít know during my time in the league if thereís a defensive player whoís done more. Not my choice, but I would think heís a Hall of Famer.

-Charles Woodson is like that in the locker room. Heís played three, four different positions for us.

-Weíre not going to do anything today with Worthyís roster spot, but thatís an ongoing conversation.

-Itís going to take a little while for Boykinís ankle to clear itself up. Not as severe as originally thought.
