One of the goals of United Way of Inner Wisconsin's Volunteer Center is to recruit and match volunteers for nonprofit organizations needing your help in south Wood and Adams counties. The following are this week's volunteer opportunities.

Familywize prescription drug discount card "5 And 5" campaign: FamilyWize cards help people who have no prescription drug insurance save up to 30 percent on their prescriptions. Please take five minutes to help five people. Give cards away to anyone you feel could use it. United Way of Inner Wisconsin will provide the cards.

Food pantry donations: Donate canned food, dry goods, personal care items and monetary donations to any of the local food pantries: Adams County Food Pantry, Christian Life Fellowship Food Pantry, South Wood Emergency Pantry Shelf and the Family Center Food Pantry.

Riverview Medical Center: Volunteer drivers are needed to deliver nutritious meals to area residents throughout the year.

South Wood County Humane Society: Donate broken/unused Christmas lights and aluminum cans. These items are recycled and the proceeds benefit the Humane Society.

Wiconsin Rapids Area School's Caring Closet - Keep Kids Warm: Donations of coats, boots, snow pants, winter hats, gloves, mittens and scarves are accepted at Caring Closet.

For more information contact United Way of Inner Wisconsin's Volunteer Center at 715-421-0390 or go to www.volunteerinnerwisc.org.
