Coaches: UWGB - Brian Wardle (35-40, third season); Wright State - Billy Donlon (41-37, third season).

Series: The Phoenix lead 24-22 and won both meetings last season.

UWGB update: Junior center Alec Brown has raised his season shooting percentage to .391 after shooting 19-of-31 (61.3 percent) over his last three games. Before that stretch, Brown had been shooting 32.7 percent. ... Junior guard Sultan Muhammad is coming off a career-high 21 points in Sunday's win over Division II Illinois-Springfield. He made 5-of-6 3-pointers to raise his season percentage to 44.0 percent (22-of-50). That's second on the team behind Keifer Sykes (9-of-18, 50 percent). ... UWGB, which was picked third in the Horizon League preseason poll, plays at Detroit on Saturday before returning home for four straight conference games at the Resch Center beginning with Loyola on Wednesday.

Wright State update: The Raiders, who were picked last in the nine-team conference, are off to their best start since the 2007-08 season thanks in part to their stingy defense. They rank 16th in the country in scoring defense, allowing just 56.2 ppg. ... Wright State has no seniors on its roster and entered the season with just 14 combined years of college experience among its 15 players. It returned just 36.9 percent of its scoring last season off a team that finished 13-19 overall, 7-11 in the Horizon League. ... Leading scorer Cole Darling (11.2 ppg) has missed four games because of a back injury but has played in the last four games.
