Police make 3 OWI arrests during New Year's

Local law enforcement had a quiet time on the roads New Year's Eve - but things were anything but quiet in downtown Stevens Point.

Portage County Sheriff's Office deputies arrested three people for operating while intoxicated on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, and city police didn't arrest anyone for the same offense.

Stevens Point Assistant Police Chief Tom Zenner said New Year's Eve has typically been a quiet night when it comes to OWI arrests - the department also had zero in 2010. ...
