Stevens Point Area Public School Board President Dwight Stevens said he made a mistake in not filing paperwork to run for re-election this spring, and plans to run a write-in candidacy.

Wednesday was the deadline to file, with incumbents Lisa Totten and Kim Shirek along with Jeff Presley, Lynda Louis, Sam Levin, Jeff Ebel and Terry Rothmann set to appear on the April 2 ballot. Four seats are up for election.
