Update: City to move voting site from The Rose Garden

A judge has foreclosed The Rose Garden in Wausau and the building will be up for a sheriff's department auction this month.

The property is owned by Aaron and Rose Wicker of Wausau who in 1994 opened The Rose Garden Banquet Center at 131 W. Thomas Street. Court records show that the Wickers and their company, Wicker Properties, were foreclosed on July 24 and the Wickers owe $759,323.

A legal notice published today said the auction will be held at 9 a.m., Jan. 29 at the Marathon County Courthouse in Wausau. The property will be sold "as is" and 10 percent of the successful bid must be paid at the time of ...
