Stevens plans to run as write-in for school board

Stevens Point Area Public School Board President Dwight Stevens says he made a mistake in not filing papers to run for re-election, and now plans to run as a write-in candidate this spring.

Wednesday was the official deadline to submit candidacy paperwork with the district. Incumbents Lisa Totten and Kim Shirek, along with candidates Jeff Presley, Lynda Louis, Sam Levin, Jeff Ebel and Terry Rothmann all filed and will appear on the April 2 ballot.
