Every year, Wausau-area residents flock to fitness centers in the hope that this year will be the year they make the change to a healthy lifestyle, and the Woodson YMCA hopes to make the transition easy.

As part of the YMCA's 12 Days of Fitness promotion, the membership fee for those who join the organization in the first 12 days of January will correspond with the day they join.

Sara Pinsonneault, membership controller for the YMCA, said the facilites are always busiest during the first weeks of a new year. ...
