Are you smart? Do you have smart friends? Do you like to have a good time while helping a great cause? If you answered yes to one or more of these questions, the 13th Annual Team Trivia is the event for you.
Teams of four can sign up now for the March 5 and March 7 event at Whispering Springs Golf Club. Team members pay $25 for adults; and $15 for teens (ages 13-18). The event includes a cash bar and a $12.50 per person Pulled Pork Sandwich dinner. Dinner is served at 5:30 p.m., accompanied by live music from Daryl Rogers, and the quizzing begins at 6:30 p.m.
Anyone can play. The fun is in the group-think, trying to come up with answers to questions on music, movies, history, sports, literature, geography, science and Wisconsin. At the end of the game, scores are tallied and awards are given to the top three teams. The first-place team on March 5 will be invited back to compete - for free - on March 7. Teams also can buy one "answer" per game, for $10. These come in very handy when a really tough question comes up.
The event supports Fond du Lac Literacy Services, a non-profit organization that helps adults with the basic skills needed to learn and prosper in the 21st Century: reading, writing and mathematics. Trained tutors provide free, one-on-one instruction.
