Mercury, Shannon Automotive offer matching funds to United Way drive

Mercury Marine and Mike Shannon Automotive, pacesetters for the 2012 Fond du Lac Area United Way fund drive, have offered an additional $15,000 to the United Way fundraising campaign and are encouraging other local businesses and citizens to help the organization reach its goal.

Without a final community push, the United Way is projected to end five percent short of its $735,000 goal.

Mercury and Mike Shannon Automotive contributed significantly to the campaign through employee and company donations, and "set the pace" for local businesses to do likewise, according to a news release ...
