Man faces kidnapping, auto theft charges

A 30-year-old Wisconsin Rapids man authorities say kidnapped a woman and drove her to Marshfield in a stolen car made his initial appearance Monday in Wood County Circuit Court.

Lee S. Winchester is charged with kidnapping, taking and driving a vehicle without the owner's consent, disorderly conduct and criminal damage to property, all as a repeat offender. If convicted, he faces a maximum of 521/2 years in prison.
