Marquette assistant to coach UWGB volleyball

Marquette assistant Michaela Franklin has been named coach of the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay volleyball program.

Franklin becomes the fourth coach in Phoenix history. During her time at Marquette, she helped the Golden Eagles to a pair of NCAA appearances in 2011 and 2012 while also serving as the recruiting coordinator.

Franklin also was an assistant coach at Northern Illinois from 2006 to 2008 and played at Kansas State, where she helped the Wildcats capture a Big 12 championship and three NCAA appearances.
