Wednesday practice update: Cobb out

Jan. 9, 2013

The Packers were missing two receivers at practice today, Randall Cobb and Jordy Nelson.

Cobb practiced Tuesday but was not in attendance today. Coach Mike McCarthy will have to put out an injury report today and at his post-practice press conference in a little while likely will at least identify why Cobb didn't practice, though it could be that Cobb is just the latest player to be sent home because of illness.

Nelson has had hamstring and knee injuries recently. He didn't practice Tuesday, so after missing two days of practice his status for Saturday night's playoff game at San Francisco has to be in doubt.

Four other players didn't practice also: receiver Jarrett Boykin (ankle), safety Jerron McMillian (unknown), center Jeff Saturday (unknown) and defensive lineman Jerel Worthy (knee).

Saturday took part in the jog-through but didn't appear to be doing anything else. The other three didn't attend practice.
