Visit your doctor before you begin or drastically change your routine.

Start slow and increase time and intensity gradually.

Don’t “push through” pain.

Wear proper shoes.

Dress in layers.

If outside, make sure you wear reflective clothing so motorists can see you.

Have rest days to allow your body time to recover.

Stay hydrated, before and after your workout.
