Ending the year with a large group testing to achieve their next belt level, students tested in Kyukido at AKF Martial Arts Academy of Neillsville on Dec. 3.

Eight white belts were promoted to the yellow stripe belt along with a brown stripe, a blue-stripe and two green-stripe belts. There are 12 belts before a student qualifies for taking the black belt test. Each student tested with their goal being to advance to the next belt level by demonstrating their knowledge of martial arts techniques, as well as required terminology.
