A pair of local developers will buy the city-owned Edgewater Manor and the former Dunham's sporting goods building.

Emerging from a closed-door session Thursday, the Stevens Point Community Development Authority voted to sell the buildings in the hope they will be renovated and help revitalize the downtown area.

Seramur Family Limited Partnership will buy Edgewater Manor, 1450 Water St., for $800,000, while Schertz-Fahrner Development will buy the former Dunham's sporting goods building, 1101 Centerpoint Drive, for $400,000. ...
