During the regular season, the members of the Green Bay Packers' personnel department meet in the draft room to discuss out-of-work players.

The walls of the room are papered with names of available street free agents.

On one side, there's a list of NFL veterans, guys that have several seasons of accrued service. On the other, there's a directory of players who still have practice-squad eligibility. Most of them never will step foot inside Lambeau Field. Some will come to town for a workout, turn around and head home the same day and never hear back. ...
