Rodgers earns All-Pro 2nd-team honors behind Manning

Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was named to the second-team Associated Press All-Pro team, with the Denver Broncosí Peyton Manning earning first-team honors.

Packers linebacker Clay Matthews also made the second team. No other Packers players made the first or second team.

The Packersí opponent in Saturdayís NFC divisional playoff game at Candlestick Park, the San Francisco 49ers, placed six players on the first team, more than any other team, and three more on the second team.

The 49ersí first-teamers include linebackers Patrick Willis, Aldon Smith and NaVorro Bowman, safety Dashon Goldson, guard Mike Iupati and punter Andy Lee.

The 49ersí second-team selections were tackle Joe Staley, defensive lineman Justin Smith and linebacker Ahmad Brooks.

Last year, Rodgers was the first-team All-Pro quarterback. This season, he completed 371 of 552 passes (67.2 percent) for 4,295 yards, 39 touchdowns and eight interceptions. His passer rating was a league-best 108.0 and he ran for 259 yards.

Manning completed 400 of 583 passes (68.6 percent) for 4,659 yards, 37 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. His passer rating was 105.8 and he ran for six yards.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson and Houston Texans defensive lineman J.J. Watt were the only unanimous first-team selections among the 50 voters.
