Becher-Hoppe Associates Inc., a Wausau-based engineering and architectural firm, announces the addition of Nathan Wincentsen as its Survey Group manager. Wincentsen is a registered land surveyor with more than 19 years of experience.

Michael Higgins and Matthew Graun of Becher-Hoppe Associates attended Autodesk University in November in Las Vegas. Autodesk University is the premier training event for CAD professionals. During the week of training, Higgins became an AutoCAD Civil 3D 2013 certified professional, establishing him among the minority of industry leaders in the most cutting-edge design software in the Civil Engineering discipline.

Melody Hamlin of Becher-Hoppe Associates also attended Autodesk University in November. Autodesk University topics covered at the event ranged from Autodesk Civil 3D and Revit design platforms, CAD workflow processes, multidiscipline data integration, 3D presentation software and visualization software for design planning.

Connexus Credit Union announced two promotions: Michelle Schubring has been promoted to Member Center consultant. Schubring will be assisting members over the phone by answering their questions, educating them on credit union products and services, and helping them take advantage of financial solutions designed to make their lives simpler, smarter and better.

Jen Bresina has been promoted to Consumer Lending specialist. Bresina will be providing members with personalized service as she verifies information, evaluates credit, and underwrites auto, personal, home equity and line of credit loans.

? Marshfield Clinic Wausau Center has been awarded a three-year re-accreditation in mammography by the American College of Radiology.

Mammography is a specific type of imaging test that uses a low-dose X-ray system to aid in the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases.

The ACR gold seal of accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. It is awarded only to facilities meeting ACR practice guidelines and technical standards after a peer-review evaluation by board-certified physicians and medical physicists.

The Marshfield Clinic system provides patient care, research and education with more than 50 locations in northern, central and western Wisconsin.

? Sarah Grim Hostetler, M.D., dermatologist at Aspirus Dermatology Clinic, had a case report and literature review published in the November issue of the Journal of Clinical and Aesthetic Dermatology. Hostetler's study looked at Warfarin-induced venous limb gangrene. Warfarin is a commonly used anticoagulant. Hostetler was joined in her report by Jennifer Sopkovich from the Ohio State University College of Medicine; Steven Dean, D.O., from the Division of Cardiology at the Ohio State University Medical Center; and Matthew Zirwas, M.D., from the Division of Dermatology at the Ohio State University Medical Center.

Sarah Gunther, D.O., a physician with Aspirus Pulmonary & Critical Care, has completed and passed the examination for certification in Critical Care Medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine.

? The Aspirus Wausau Hospital cancer program received a three-year Accreditation Award with Commendation from the Commission on Cancer. Less than 25 percent of all cancer treatment facilities in the nation receive CoC accreditation, which is awarded to programs that provide the highest quality of comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services.
