Man sentenced in hit-and-run OWI case

A 22-year-old Auburndale man authorities say struck his best friend with a vehicle when the friend tried to keep him from driving drunk was sentenced Monday in Wood County Circuit Court to 90 days in jail on related charges.

Timothy E. Anderson was given work release with his jail sentence and credit for one day already served. Wood County Circuit Judge Nicholas Brazeau Jr. also placed Anderson on five years probation and ordered him to pay $57,277.73 restitution plus court costs, undergo an alcohol assessment, install an ignition interlock on his vehicle, maintain absolute sobriety and ...
