Winnebago weighs sale of ice arena

A group of Winnebago County supervisors has proposed to sell the Tri-County Ice Arena to the Fox Valley Youth Hockey Association for $1.

A resolution authorizing the sale will be considered Tuesday by the County Board.

Supervisor Bill Roh of Neenah, who co-signed the resolution with 12 other supervisors, said the sale makes sense because the nonprofit Fox Valley Youth Hockey Association is a major user of the arena and it relieves county taxpayers from future expenses. ...
