Area K-8 school gets IB authorization

Wisconsin International School is the first in the area to be authorized as an International Baccalaureate Primary Years world school and it's the first independent school in the state to receive the authorization.

Schools that have been authorized by IB to offer one or more of its college-prep programs are known as world schools.

"We are proud of this distinction as we are preparing students to become global citizens and to be successful in a global society," said Mary Vanden Busch, head of the K-8 school. ...
