I congratulate the Press Gazette on it's investigative work into public employee salaries. I was shocked to learn that many NWTC educators and administrators are earning far in excess of what they would earn in the private sector.
As far as that sector of public employees, they have no room to argue in favor of receiving salary and benefits which private sector employees can only dream about. Further, their use (or abuse) of an anachronistic compensation system for overages cannot be justified economically and is truly disturbing in a time of national and local economic distress. I call on our state officials to address these issues to more accurately reflect our economic limitations while still paying those public servants a competitive wage for the service they provide to us all.
