The past few years have been hard for Americans. They have had to adjust their household budgets, have tightened their belts, and millions are still unemployed as a result of a crippling economy.
However, despite failed leadership on a national level, Wisconsin is moving forward. Under Gov. Scott Walker and the Republican-led state Legislature, we've seen unemployment claims decrease and jobs have been returning to the Badger State.
We've seen a $3.6 billion budget deficit replaced by budget surplus. Waste, fraud and abuse have been reined in by the Walker administration, and the effects are being felt across the state.
Unlike his predecessors, the governor has been dedicated to empowering Wisconsinites to thrive and accomplish great things. He has shown that when you empower people, communities and local municipalities, they can make tremendous strides towards economic prosperity.
No longer will we kick the can down the road, affecting our children and grandchildren. We have to make the tough choices today and under Walker's leadership we can be assured that those decisions will keep us on the path to a better economic future.
