Trinity celebrates Lutheran Schools Week

5:08 PM, Jan. 16, 2013  |  Comments

Lutheran Schools Week will be Jan. 27 to Feb. 1. The whole school will sing at the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday the 27th. A Penny War will be going on all week and the proceeds will benefit Concordia Lutheran School in the Dominican Republic. Monday and Tuesday everyone will enjoy field trips to Shoreview Lanes for bowling and the 1,000 Island Environmental Center to learn about and see eagles. Wednesday, students will get to play board games in the afternoon, and Thursday we will raise money for the American Heart Association through Jump/Hoops for Heart. Friday is a day off for students while the teachers meet with other Lutheran schoolteachers for an in-service.

Mrs. Koplitz's fifth and sixth grade class is still looking for bits of metal and wire for their ongoing art project. They also are collecting spice shaker bottles for a project for next school year. If you have any items you wish to give them, you can bring them to the school office.
