Series: The Phoenix leads 24-8 and went 1-2 against Youngstown State last season, including a 70-66 loss in the conference tournament.

UWGB update: After dropping an 84-76 game in Detroit on Jan. 5, the Phoenix bounced back with home wins over Loyola (58-45) and Illinois-Chicago (53-47) this past week to improve to 7-1 in Green Bay. The Phoenix has won five straight at the Resch Center since falling to Southern Illinois on Dec. 15. ? Alec Brown scored a season-high 21 points in the win over the Flames and is 59 points shy of becoming the 25th member of the program's 1,000-point club. ? Point guard Keifer Sykes, who is fifth in Horizon League scoring, has led the team in assists in 11 straight contests. His 4.1 assists per game ranks sixth in the league. ? Junior Kam Cerroni's school-record streak of 40 consecutive made free throws ended during Saturday's win over UIC. ? UWGB is fifth in the league in scoring offense (65.5 points per game) and defense (63.5).

YSU update: Since the series began on Jan. 16, 1993, the Penguins have won only once in 16 games played in Green Bay (Jan. 4, 2003). ... Youngstown is coming off a 41-point home loss to Detroit last Thursday in a game it shot only 37.0 percent from the field, 62.1 percent from the free-throw line and had 20 turnovers to the Titans' five. ? Reserve sophomore guard D.J. Cole led the Penguins with a career-high 16 points. ?. Despite being third in the league in scoring, Kendrick Perry had only nine points in a season-low 22 minutes for his third-lowest scoring output of the season. ... Forward Damian Eargle leads the league with 3.4 blocks per game, 2.0 more blocks than any other player in the Horizon. ... Youngstown State is second in the league in scoring offense (71.7 points per game) and sixth in scoring defense (66.3). ? "They can fill it up, they just haven't found their rhythm yet," Phoenix coach Brian Wardle said. "They haven't all clicked yet offensively and we don't want that to be (tonight) because they have two guards who can go for 30. They have a good senior big in Eargle ? We have to control the tempo and make them earn it, and we have to be physical." ? The Penguins have featured the same lineup in all but one of their games.
