Friends of the Library award scholarships to local students

Two local students have received scholarships from the Friends of the Oshkosh Public Library to pursue library science degrees during the 2012-13 school year.

The Friends of the Library awarded the John V. Nichols Public Library Professional Scholarship to Emily Borchardt and Aaron Raschke. Each student received a $2,000 scholarship. The Nichols scholarship, named for the former Oshkosh Public Library director, is available to students who plan to pursue a degree in library science and a career as a librarian.
