Author to host Roaring '20s party

Author Mary Ellen Lisciandra of Wisconsin Rapids will host a Roaring '20s party to celebrate the release of her new book, "Stolen Lives," a fictional novella about gangsters in the Prohibition Era in Chicago, from 8 p.m. to midnight Jan. 25 at Club Forest Bar and Grill, 1176 Club Forest Drive, Plover.

The event will include gangster trivia, a Charleston dance contest and costume contests for the best dressed gangster and flapper. Guests are encouraged to dress in their best 1920's attire. Prizes will include free passes to see the new movie "Gangster Squad," drinks, free copies of Lisciandra's book and more.
