Central City Credit Union opened a new mortgage center Monday in Marshfield to accommodate the credit union's increasing number of mortgage closings.

The credit union has doubled its number of closings since 2009 despite the nationwide drop in home sales and prices.

Mortgage officer Angie Domine said the credit union opened the mortgage center because "we wanted to make sure we didn't have to turn anyone away because of the high volume of mortgage closings." ...
