A 16-year-old boy who was killed when he missed a stop sign and collided with a milk tanker truck in the town of Franklin has been identified as Kollin Heimke of rural Manitowoc County.

Heimke was alone in the vehicle and was wearing a seat belt, plus the air bags did deploy, according to the Manitowoc County coroner, Curtis Green.

The State Patrol says the accident happened on Manitowoc County J near Reedsville on Monday afternoon.

The driver of the milk tanker was injured and taken to Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah.
