Wayside School reaches its new home

If the walls could talk, they'd echo with the laughter of children, children with names like Dvorak and Sinkula and Kunesh.

And thanks to the efforts of local historian Bill Faller and Agricultural Heritage and Resources Inc., those echoes will ring again in real life at Wayside School, which traces its history to the 1860s.

Faller has been overseeing the process of moving the old school from its original location, on the Mike Sinkula farm in the town of Carlton to the Heritage Farm south of Kewaunee, where the goal is to restore the structure and make it part of the ongoing effort to preserve ...
