'Minute 2 Win It' FUNdraiser to benefit local students

11:41 AM, Jan. 17, 2013  |  Comments

The Door Kewaunee Business and Education Partnership (DKBEP) will hold its third annual fundraising event to support youth programs for 2013. A local spin on a popular reality game show, Minute-2-Win-It, is coming to Luxemburg. The event will be held at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 25 at the Rendezvous, E896 County N, Luxemburg. Admission for the event is $10 in advance or $15 at the door. Advanced team registration is $150.

Teams of six will be required to compete in 60-second challenges using everyday household items. Contestants in the past have practiced their hand at balancing seven Ding Dongs on their foreheads, maneuvering an Oreo cookie from their forehead to their mouth (no hands), emptying a box of tissues with one hand in under 60 seconds, etc. Prizes will be given to the top three teams.

Attendees can enjoy a hot and cold hors d'oeuvres bar throughout the evening and will be entered to win a door prize. A raffle and silent auction will also be held.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.dkbep.com (click on the Minute-2-Win-It tab) and at any Baylake Bank branch. Put together a team of six and register online; must be 18 to play.

The DKBEP partners with businesses and the community and schools to help students acquire skills needed for the workplace. For questions or to register a team, contact Tara at (920) 743-3113, Ext. 205.
