Thanks to a fourth-quarter rally and a strong performance by Jenny Lindner, the Neillsville girls basketball team took a big step toward repeating as Cloverbelt Conference champions.

The Warriors stretched a slim lead into a rather comfortable 40-31 conference win over Owen-Withee Thursday night.

Neillsville, the No. 1 ranked team in Division 3, still has eight league games left on its schedule, but by sweeping the season series against the Blackhawks, the No. 6 team in D5, the Warriors made things much easier on themselves. ...
