Broadway actor helps Everest student performers of 'Les Miserables'

A Broadway star with Wausau connections served up plenty of insider tips for local students who will be performing in "Les Miserables" at D.C. Everest Senior High School later this month.

Adam Jacobs of New York City knows the play well. He portrayed Marius, one of the musical epic's main characters in traveling and Broadway versions of "Les Miserables." Jacobs, who recently completed a stint as Simba in "The Lion King" on Broadway, worked with the students in early January.

"My goal with the kids is to instill a sense of confidence in their portrayal of specific characters ... to help flush out ...
