Vesper man accused of biting young boy in the face

A 21-year-old Vesper man authorities say bit a boy in the face is facing a felony charge in Wood County Circuit Court.

Anthony J. Hansen is charged with child abuse. If convicted, Hansen faces a maximum penalty of 51/2years in prison. He's scheduled to make his initial appearance in Wood County Circuit Court on Feb. 18.

According to the criminal complaint, on Nov. 25, a babysitter for a 4-year-old boy contacted the Wood County Sheriff's Department about a possible case of child abuse. The sitter had picked the boy up at his home and noticed he had bruises on his face and ...
